'attention to detail and calming influence'
We just finished our tour with Heather and can not recommend her highly enough. The trip was a perfect mix of guided tours and free time to explore or just take a few hours out to relax. We stayed in beautiful, traditional, very comfortable and clean Riads in the centre of the Medinas. Most have either pools or gorgeous, roof terraces with very helpful staff and great Moroccon breakfasts. Heather's attention to detail and calming influence made the whole experience enjoyable and memorable. Heather has a real passion for Morrocco and she has infected us with it. Her driver Mustapha is a fantastic and very safe driver and always happy. They work very well as a team. Oh an there is the food! Heather knows some really quirky restaurants and also some more up market once. I promise you no one will go hungry!

'an amazing trip'
Barry and I have just spent 3 weeks on an extensive tour of Morocco with Heather. It has been an amazing trip of exploring Moroccan culture and meeting the wonderful citizens of this country. There was a great balance of sightseeing and down time. We were able to fit a few cooking and baking courses organised by Heather into our programme. We stayed in well chosen Riads in the old Medinas of the towns we visited, each being unique and quirky. The whole trip was excellently organised and nothing was too much trouble. Mustapha our driver was a great support, he and Heather made a great team. I strongly recommend these tours organised by Heather if you want a full and unique experience of Morocco.

Keren & I have just finished a 3 week tour of Morocco and what a wonderful trip it has been. We ate great food in atmospheric cafes and restaurants. We saw some amazing sights and scenery. We met lots of friendly and fascinating people. 'Heather has a passion and love for Morocco'
I have recently returned from the most amazing trip to Morocco with Heather from Moroccan Escapes. Heather has a passion and love for Morocco and it shows. Her local knowledge allows her to select the best locations to give that luxurious, exotic, wow factor that makes for an unforgettable experience. Felt like a princess on my trip. And I couldn’t stop saying wow at every riad that we stayed at. The riads were amazing. She also included a few unique experiences such as a cooking class with a local family that included going to the market to get the food. It was a lovely way to get to know the real people of Morocco. Also enjoyed my camel ride on the beach at sunset at Essaouria. Nothing was too much trouble for Heather and she is a beautiful person. In May this year I ran a 16 day Sketching Tour of Morocco, all arranged by Heather from Moroccan Escapes. Not only did Heather organize all our transportation and accommodation in stunning riads or boutique hotels but she made several recommendations to me for the ladies on our sketching trip to experience. These activities included a food walking tour in Marrakech, a cooking class in a Moroccan family home, dinner in one of the top rated restaurants in the world, camel ride in Essaouira and a guided walk through the ancient Medina in Fes. 'vision not many other travel organisers have'
Morocco, not your run of the mill trip, this is as close as an adventure as it gets. From the moment we landed we were in for a great time. The riads were spectacular and very comfortable. Our driver was excellent and looked after us very well, extremely dependable. The artisanal stops were really good and we watched how leather is stained and cut, how ceramics are made and the typical carpets of the region. But the blockbuster was the trek in the Sahara, a spectacular walk with "out of this world" landscapes. I highly recommend Heather as she has a vision not many other travel organisers have, you feel looked after and things run well. Thanks for an amazing adventure.

Heather McNeice of Moroccan Escapes took all the work and worry out of our sketching tour. Heather is warm and welcoming and a very efficient and knowledgeable guide. She managed the transportation and logistics which made everything go so smoothly, allowing us to concentrate on the vibrant, beautiful country of Morocco. Our small group was booked in beautiful riads with friendly staff and owners. She ensured we visited special sites to see and sketch. She went above and beyond to see that we were well taken care of, safe throughout and saw all that Morocco had to offer. If we needed an ATM, pharmacy or grocery store, she helped us get where we needed to go. Heather is a fantastic guide, and I would definitely use Moroccan Escapes again in the future. Moroccan Escapes is the easiest and by far the best travel company I have ever booked with, and Heather the owner, is an absolute rock star! From first contact to last day on tour Heather is there for you, making sure you have the best experience possible. Forget the western style hotels (except Casablanca) Heather has hand picked the most beautiful riads where the only word you can say as you walk through the door is 'wow'. An oasis from the streets outside, each one different, you feel like you're truly experiencing the authentic and exotic Morocco. In fact the whole trip felt like that. Travelling with Moroccan Escapes and Heather was like being guided by a local who knows and loves their home and community. Nothing is too much or too hard. Would I travel again with Moroccan Escapes? Absolutely!

I have just returned from a wonderful 10 day travel sketching tour in South Morocco with Heather at the "helm." She was wonderful from start to finish. 'attention to detail is exceptional'
After years of dreaming about visiting Morocco I finally have just returned from this exotic location. I could not of achieved my dream without Heather from Moroccan Escapes. Heather’s attention to detail is exceptional. From the initial booking process to the last wave goodbye at our departing airport Casablanca.
We were a group of 9 ladies travelling from Australia. The itinerary included so many places. I feel we left no stone unturned. When we had a free day Heather gave us a myriad of suggestions whether it was places to visit or restaurants to eat at. Safety was a concern of mine. At no time did I feel unsafe. I recently returned from a trip to Morocco with Moroccan Escapes, and I cannot recommend it enough! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and unforgettable. The highlight of the trip, though, was our guide, Heather. She was absolutely fantastic — not only was she knowledgeable about Moroccan history, culture, and traditions, but her warmth and enthusiasm made the journey even more special.
Heather went above and beyond to ensure our group was comfortable, engaged, and immersed in the local experience. '5 stars plus'
Our Moroccan Escapes holiday was the best fun I have had in years! Heather McNeice is a superlative tour guide and it's her connection to so many beautiful local people that made our trip magic. We met artisans (leather, jewellery and textiles), gourmands and even celebrity chefs. We toured souks, medinas, rode camels into the Sahara and enjoyed sunset cocktails overlooking Marrakesh. Heather even arranged a tailored walk through Dades gorge for our group, and a hammam for a self care experience that was truly Moroccan. After 3 weeks of excellent food and stunning accommodation it's a shock to be back home but there's always next time... I cannot recommend Moroccan Escapes highly enough- 5 stars plus.

'the real Morocco'
My friends and I have just completed a fantastic 21 day (small private group) tour of Morocco with lovely Heather from Moroccan Escapes.
I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. From the moment we were met by Heather at the airport, we knew we were in good hands.
The itinerary was perfect, with stops in all the major centers plus so many little gems along the way. We all felt that we have really experienced the real Morocco.I personally loved all the vibrant colours and buzz, around the medinas. Our accommodations were beautifully chosen riads that exceeded our expectations. We visited some beautiful small businesses in rural areas and loved a visit to the Goats Cheese farm.
​Heather's driver Mustapha served us with respect and care and was a great help, especially with translation and local knowledge.
The highlight of the trip for me was visiting Chefchaouen, a camel ride and our stunning luxury desert camp experience in the Sahara, cooking classes, food tours and shopping in the colourful spice markets in Fes and Marrakech. In fact I loved everything about this well organized and carefully planned tour.
Thank you Heather once again for giving us an unforgettable holiday and memories to last a lifetime.​

Our small group tour of 4 friends for 3 weeks was simply delightful! Too many special moments to relay here but honestly can’t recommend Heather and her personalized tours enough. Not too rushed as a result of its duration. The wonderful Riads that she hand picks for each group were such a special experience. Each one was unique and so lovely to stay in. The fact that it was a small group made authentic experiences with local people so much more enjoyable.
I feel that this tour has given me a true reflection of life in Morocco with all its sensory wonder and cultural differences!

'seamlessly organised'
I was lucky enough to go on one of Heather’s Moroccan adventures through Moroccan Escapes with three friends. The whole trip was amazing and seamlessly organised, and Heather has sourced some wonderful local people to ensure our time in Morocco was memorable. The accommodation Heather chose was outstanding and highlights of my trip included a food tour around the Marrakesh medina, a cooking class at our riad and a truly unforgettable few days hiking, camping and quad biking in the Sahara Desert. Our November 2024 trip with Morocco Escapes fulfilled all our expectations (and beyond). It’s a big call. But that's exactly how we feel. Heather, carefully crafted our three week itinerary in a way that allowed us to experience and feel the vibrancy and diversity of this spectacular country, in a well-paced way.​ The detailed planning (transport, tickets to sites, most restaurant bookings, accommodation), combined with Heather’s own passion for Morocco, meant that everyday was a fun, interesting adventure. One of our highlights (there were many!), was a private photography walk she booked for us with a local Fes photographer. 'attention to detail'
I rarely write reviews but feel that this trip definately deserves one. I attended a Morocco trip in April 2024 with Heather, a two and a half week trip which I have to say was one of the best holidays I have ever taken. The trip was so well planned. It really was just a wonderful, vibrant and exotic experience. Every day was so different and the chance to discover so many incredibly beautiful cities/ regions full of colour and history was amazing. The chaotic but incredible Marrakesh, Chefchaouen in its glorious blue, the beautiful seaside town of Essaouira and the stunning desert camps in the Sahara. Just a few of the places we visited. Our accomodation in tradional Riads was also just amazing and a chance to experience an authentic Morocco. Heathers attention to detail made this a seamless trip. Our group was fun, lively and shared the same passion for exploring this incredible country.
I wouldn't hesitate to do another trip with this tour company.

'ten out of ten'
I recently returned from a small-group tour of Morocco organised by Heather McNeice of Moroccan Escapes. It's a country I have always been keen to visit and we covered everything I imagined and more. I had looked into a planning this myself, and it was quite complicated and daunting, especially with the barriers of language and distance. Heather's practical knowledge and local contacts along with her affiliations with the management of the most gorgeous riads and reliable drivers made this trip one of my all-time favourites. Our itinerary included Casablanca, Tangier, Chechaouen, Fes, Ait Ben Haddou, Essaouira and Marrakech as well as a spectacular 2-night stay in a luxury camp in the Sahara Desert. We felt at ease with our driver, Stefan, who was very informative and made us feel extremely safe on the Moroccan roads. Ten out of ten from me.

I have travelled to many destinations on trips organised by Heather, including the USA, the UK, Bhutan, Mongolia and closer to home in Australia but my three week trip to Morocco was a highlight. The itinerary was carefully planned to give the group an authentic travel experience with a wide variety of activities, from camel riding in the Sahara to a street food tour in Marrakech. We stayed in beautiful riads where we received attentive and personal service and where we had some of the best meals of the trip. Our driver, Stefan was accommodating, cheerful and professional and our trek guide, Mohamed and his crew, in both the Sahara and Atlas Mountains, made our trekking experience unforgettable.
Heather’s attention to detail ensures that her trips run smoothly from start to finish. I am joining Heather again in Morocco next May for more Atlas Mountains trekking. If you have a chance to travel to Morocco with Heather, just do it!

Heather arranged a fantastic itinerary visiting the blue city Chefchaouen, the Roman ruins at Volubilis and the holy city of Moulay Idriss. Fes was incredible and staying in Todra Gorge was a highlight, especially a half-day hike where we met and had tea with a nomadic Berber family. Another highlight was glamping in the Sahara desert, where the sunsets were stunning and the food and accommodation was luxury. Heather booked us into wonderful accommodation throughout the trip, ranging from beautiful riads to some unique cave rooms, built into the mountainside, in Todra Gorge. In Fes, Heather arranged a private photography tour for two of us with a local photographer, Omar, which was fantastic. We visited places in the medina only a local would know such as an abandoned palace and incredible rooftop views.
